Johnathan Zhu, a Chinese Canadian music enthusiast, studies under Joonghun Cho and Dr. Younggun Kim. Cho, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the University of Michigan, and Kim, a faculty member at Queens’ University and the University of Toronto, guide his education. Zhu, enrolled in the Arts Unionville program, excels in piano, winning first place in the Kiwanis provincial piano duet category in 2023. He also accompanies soloists and performs piano concertos. In his free time, Zhu explores music history, composes, and seeks inspiration from various locations. Despite facing obstacles, his passion for music drives his dedication, leading him to choose music for post-secondary studies at age 14 and a half.

Samantha Yang is currently a 10th-grade pre-IB student attending St. Robert Catholic High School. She is dedicated to both her academics and extracurricular activities, balancing her studies and interests. Samantha plays the guzheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument, and in her spare time, enjoys learning about photography and film.
Samantha has many volunteer experiences as well. She is involved in the community center aquatic programs where she volunteered during swimming lessons. Through this, she has had many experiences working with children. At school, Samantha participates in the chaplaincy choir, performing at school masses. Additionally, she has performed at various community events, sharing her passions and bringing together diverse audiences.
